Return To Invisible, background notes, part IV
Thoughts on the next phase
Before I began, I had no particular projection of what I was going to do once I got to the end, other than of course look at the images I had made; the project in its first phase was considerably more about the process than the output
I had various thoughts over the years whilst shooting of what I might do - those thoughts have changed as I have changed, I'm still trying to find the soft corner that feels right
My friend and I laughed about how I will probably manage to make looking at the images take another five years; I always have liked moving slowly
The natural inclination of my logical brain would be to look at the images in chronological order
I am less interested in re-living the chronology of time and much more interested in being able to see patterns, threads and repetition - for that reason I am going to look at the individual months in a random order
Most likely, I will reintroduce the chance to react to what I have made, in a completely different way than I could have foreseen I might when I started
